             Artificial Intelligence

The world seems to be developing faster than ever, with the invention of electricity, electronic devices, satellites, the most recent invention, AI (artificial intelligence). AI has taken the internet to a whole new level as it is able to think independently and grasp new concepts quickly. It follows orders, answers questions and generates almost anything you ask it to. But if you are unaware of this new invention, let me take you down a rabbit hole of the history of AI, its pros and its cons. 

Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to the development of computer systems capable of performing tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as reasoning, learning, decision-making, and perception as per goggle (what is ai - Search (bing.com) The history of AI dates back to the 1940s. The first AI ever created was the Logic Theorist by Allen Newell and Herbert A. Simon in 1956. Other famous AI bots that you might already be aware of is Chatgpt, gemini, claude AI and more. 

AI is designed to help humans with whatever they need. AI is based off human intelligence, experiences and ideas. AI has obviously made a HUGE difference on how people in the 21st century deal with their daily tasks. Students and researchers use it for information. Companies who can't afford an illustrator to design a logo can now ask AI to generate one for them. It is also used to make AI generated content for entertainment and pleasure. It is used in hospitals to help doctors determine a disease for their patients. computers also benefit many individuals across the world as it is also a form of AI.

However, there are also a lot of CONS about AI. Starting
with, any form of creative expressions generated by AI should NOT be considered as a medium of art. This includes AI generated art/images, videos, music, writings, designs, or any other creative medium. This directly affects artists trying to create ACTUAL art. It divides the attention of their audience, cuts down their earnings and more. This is why it's very important to commission actual artists/producers for any creative projects. AI generations

is NOT art. It also gravely impacts the environment. AI uses a LOT of water to cool down their servers, this causes glaciers to melt and contributes to climate change. A lot of animals living in the north and south pole are losing their homes because AI uses water. This is why it is very important to use AI as less as possible to save the environment and animals. AI also gives a way for students to plagiarize their assignments. I can bet almost half of my classmates has askes ChatGPT to generate this assignment for them. Though it can also be really helpful to us, it also takes away our opportunity to learn and practice by ourselves. Watch the video inserted below to understand more.

AI has made a HUGE difference in the world. It's quite literally the biggest thing in the 21st century. as much as it's good to use it, we should be mindful pf how we use it. People believe that one day, AI will take over the world, and can you really blame them? AI has gotten to a very uncanny state as now it's able to think by itself after it is trained. I hope I have educated a few people on AI.
